Screenwriter, director and producer Hayden Schlossberg purchased a home in Pacific Palisades for $7.67 million, according to a report by Dirt.
Built in 1953, the six-bedroom, six-bathroom house features 5,861 square feet of living space in the Riviera neighborhood.
“Perched on a prestigious street in Pacific Palisades,” the listing boasted, “a warm and charming traditional home invites you to live your best life inside.”
The home, which was expanded and remodeled in 1999, is designed with a foyer that opens to a “spacious and comfortable” formal living and dining room, with maple cascading hardwood floors throughout. An adjacent chef’s kitchen comes complete with an island, high-quality stainless steel appliances, travertine countertops, cabinetry and an “adorable” breakfast nook, situated near a “stunning sunlit family room,” with floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights.
Details of the property include a circular driveway and grassy knoll. French doors lead to a backyard that has a fresh grass lawn, brick patio and a built-in outdoor fireplace—all of which is surrounded by a lit ficus, which the listing said would soon be a tall hedge. Other features of the outdoor space include olive trees, rosemary and lavender throughout the exterior.
“Become a member of the golf or tennis club, and walk the famous neighborhood and enjoy living in the Pacific Palisades,” the listing suggested.
Schlossberg was represented by J. Tucker Elm at Douglas Elliman – Beverly Hills, and the listing was held by Anthony Marguleas of Amalfi Estates.
Schlossberg is known for his recent work on “Cobra Kai,” as well as the “Harold & Kumar” and “American Reunion” films, the latter of which featured Honorary Mayor of Pacific Palisades Eugene Levy.
Schlossberg worked on the films with Jon Hurwitz, who he reportedly met in high school. Their current project, “Cobra Kai,” is a continuation of “The Karate Kid” franchise, which they created with their friend Josh Heald. The three of them are executive producers, show runners, writers and directors for the 2021 Emmy Award-nominated series.
