Gwen Bailey’s obituary, which was published in the Palisadian-Post on August 8, noted that Gwen resided in Pacific Palisades for over 50 years before moving to Bend, Oregon to be near one of her daughters.
Her local friends are having a celebration of her life on Thursday September 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Dotty Larson, 350 Alma Real Dr. Dessert will be served.
“Anyone who would like to join us in celebrating Gwen’s life is invited,” said Dotty, a former Citizen of the Year here.
Bailey, 82, is survived by Chuck, her husband of nearly 62 years; three children, Cheri, Patti and Brad; and seven grandchildren.
A native of Minnesota, Gwen married Chuck in 1951 and they move to the Palisades soon after. She was active in the Junior Women’s Club, the Junior League of Los Angeles, Calvary Church of Pacific Palisades and Community Bible Study.
