Still need something to do or get for Father’s Day—which is coming up Sunday, June 18? The Palisadian-Post has assembled some local options here.
Tomato Plant Giveaway
For the father who has a green thumb—or wants to have one—there will be a tomato plant giveaway at Palisades Village Green on Sunday, June 18, beginning at 10 a.m.
“The Village Green volunteers have once again grown cherry tomato seedlings to give away to the community,” Village Green Co-President Betsy Collins wrote. “They were a bit late this year, due to the cool weather, but now they’ll be ready for new homes on … Father’s Day.”
Volunteers will pass out plants until they are gone, which Collins said is typically about one hour. Village Green is located at 15280 Sunset Boulevard.
Palisades Gift Shop
Locally owned and operated Palisades Gift Shop has curated a selection of gifts for Father’s Day, including a Palisades California License Plate Trucker Hat and Smathers and Branson Can Cooler Coozie.
Palisades Gift Shop Owner Chanel Malin shared that the trucker hat is her “best-selling hat,” and that she designed the can cooler. Also featured in the curated list is an Adults Varsity Fleece Sweatshirt in Gray, the Adults Pali Tube Socks and a 90272 Large Tote.
“Our mission is to give the Palisades a small shop for a small town,” the store’s website read. “A go-to for families of all ages to shop and show their Pali Pride.”
