The Angelic Auxiliary of Children’s Bureau holds its annual Carnival at the Pier on Sunday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission includes unlimited rides, lunch and carnival snacks, games, raffle prizes, face painting, hip-hop dance performances and lessons by Groovaholix Dance Company, magician Mark Paskell and unlimited photos from Push2Start Photo Booth.
The event, chaired by local moms along with help from Angelic Auxiliary president Antoinette Joyce and the Board of Angelic Auxiliary, is expected to raise more than $100,000 for Children’s Bureau Los Angeles.
“This is a great family event,” said co-chair and Palisadian Deepthi Brown. “Last year, over 600 people attended the Carnival at the Pier.”
Children’s Bureau is a 108-year-old nonprofit that works to prevent child abuse and neglect. In addition to providing comprehensive abuse prevention programs, the Bureau also supports programs that foster school readiness, nurturing parenting, family resource centers, support groups, mental health counseling, foster care and adoption.
The Angelic Auxiliary was established in 1996 as a fundraising arm of Children’s Bureau and comprises 40 humanitarian-minded women from Pacific Palisades and the Westside.
