When Jeannie Cho was living in the Alphabet Streets, she was working in high tech in Century City, while her husband was traveling internationally for work.
And then Cho faced some big life changes.
Her husband got a national client in Seattle and was going back and forth between the Palisades and Washington. When she got laid off from that tech job, she started traveling to Seattle often, inspiring her to create Crafted Taste.
Crafted Taste is a home delivery cocktail kit that features high-end ingredients to make classic and one-of-a-kind cocktails.
“The craft cocktail scene is so huge here,” Cho, who eventually moved to the Seattle area after 10 years in the Palisades, explained to the Palisadian-Post. “It allowed me to be a part of the craft cocktail scene nationwide. It also allowed me to work with artisanal bitters companies and fermentation companies.”
Crafted Taste is available as both a subscription service and a one-off purchase. There are varieties that customers can choose from, from classic cocktails to libations created by local bartenders.
“You get a full size, 750 milliliter bottle,” Cho said.
Each kit allows for 12 to 16 drinks, “so it’s great to have your cocktails for the month or for fun at parties—everyone gets to watch you make this cool drink and you’re the bartender,” she said.
There is even a keto option for those watching carb intake.
And while Cho has been enjoying Seattle, which she described as “super intriguing,” she misses aspects of the Palisades.
“I was lucky because I had a really great friend group and we did tons of hiking,” Cho recalled of her time living off Via De La Paz. “For my 40th birthday party, we had a huge surf party at Will Rogers.”
But where the family landed in Seattle has a similar vibe to the Palisades, she shared.
“I feel lucky that I was able to live in a great community like Pacific Palisades, and I found another place that met the challenge of being a new Palisades here in the Pacific Northwest,” she said.
