Canale-Martinez Salon, the newest high-end hair salon in Pacific Palisades, was buzzing with upbeat chatter and excitement while Palisadians sipped on reds and whites from District 7 Wines and munched on hors d’oeuvres from Pinocchio In Cucina at the salon’s opening party on the evening of Thursday, May 21.

Cousins and owners Michael Canale and Jeffrey Martinez, industry professionals and experts in the craft of natural looking hair color, looked suave in suit jackets (and of course perfect hair) as they mingled with the crowd in the salon’s “retro couture” atmosphere.
Canale-Martinez Salon opened in early April and offers clients a variety of hairstyling services (for men, women and children) including highlights, cuts, blowouts and Brazilian straightening.
Brentwood resident Cory Weiss has been a loyal client of Martinez’s for 16 years, first visiting him at Jeffrey’s Beverly Hills location. Weiss, who attended the event in support of his favorite stylists, said he is glad to have them closer to home.
“They treat everybody like family,” Weiss said. “You look forward to getting your hair cut.”
In addition to delectable snacks and drinks, event-goers had the opportunity to enter a free raffle for top-of-the-line hair products from Oribe, R+Co, and V76 by Vaughn.
“The Canale-Martinez Salon opening event was more than we could have imagined it to be,” said Amy Berg, head of Canale Salon Management. “With hundreds of our clients, family members and members of our community we showcased our salon and a great time was had by all.”
Canale-Martinez Salon is located at 970 Monument St., Suite 204, 310-454-3444.
