Former Palisades High pitcher Lucas Braun made his first showing on the mound for the Cal State Northridge baseball team Saturday at Jackie Robinson Stadium, striking out two UCLA batters in his one inning of relief to help the Matadors notch their first win of the season.
Braun, who earned City Co-Pitcher of the Year honors while leading Pali High to the Open Division championship game at Dodger Stadium a a senior in 2019, was back on the hill Sunday and pitched two scoreless innings before allowing a walk-off two-run home run. Braun transferred to Northridge after two seasons at the University of San Diego.
