Former honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades and professional boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and his wife, Bernadette Robi, have recently relisted their Upper Riviera home for $45 million.
“Welcome to the Leonard Estate, luxury living redefined,” the listing stated. “Designed by renowned architect Richard Landry, this private Florentine villa-inspired home offers iconic Westside living in one of LA’s most picturesque coastal regions.”
The eight-bedroom, 15-bathroom home features 16,773 square feet of living space. Inside the home are “endless custom features,” including exposed beam ceilings, “ornate” tile flooring and custom windows, which frame “stunning” ocean and mountain views.
“Unwind in several parlors opening to the sprawling grounds,” invited the listing, “ideal for indoor/outdoor living.”
A chef’s kitchen includes “world-class” appliances, marble countertops and custom cabinetry—“perfect for next-level dining.” The primary suite has been designed with a resort-inspired bath and several ocean-view balconies.
“Outside, you’ll find the 1.7-acre grounds with pool, cabana, tennis court, guest house and putting green,” the listing continued.
The home also features a two-story family room and formal dining room, as well as a theater.
“Situated minutes from pristine beaches, this captivating coastal estate offers unparalleled luxury and tranquility,” the listing concluded.
The listing is held by Aaron Kirman, Kirby Gillon, Bryce Lowe and Daniel Milstein of Aaron Kirman Group at Compass.
The home was last sold in October 1972, according to public records. It was first listed in September 2019 for $51,995,000, before being withdrawn at the end of October. Wall Street Journal reported it was withdrawn due to the brush fires in the Palisades at that time.
Leonard served as honorary mayor, a position currently held by Eugene Levy, in 2011. He took over for the late Gavin MacLeod and was followed by Jake Steinfeld.
Leonard has remained active in the community, including speaking during the Palisades Charter High School Class of 2020 virtual graduation ceremony and attending Olympics Day at Canyon Charter Elementary School in 2016.
