Palisadian Kaajal Agnani’s Company Is Making Education Fun for Kids

Kaajal Agnani is a woman on a mission.
Founder and CEO of “Boundless Blooms,” she is eager to inspire the next generation of “kindful and mindful” humans through an educational and development company that creates fun and interactive products for kids and families.
Launching her business has been a true labor of love for Agnani—one in which she has been able to combine her years of experience in research, operations, marketing and customer service with her passion for children’s education and development.
“It has been quite the experience,” Agnani said. “As a local small business owner, it means so much to be able to share my story with the Palisades community. Since launching, ‘Boundless Blooms’ has partnered with non-profit organizations and schools to make mindfulness accessible to thousands of kids across the country.”
She and her husband Raja moved to the Castellammare area five years ago. They have a vibrant 3-year-old boy named Zavi and another little one on the way (Kaajal is due this month). Both parents left their jobs in tech to start their respective e-commerce businesses and since the first lockdown in March, their home has doubled as an inventory warehouse and fulfillment center.
“Yoga, meditation and mindfulness have played such an instrumental role in my life, so when I began to reflect on how game-changing it would’ve been if I’d had access to those tools as a child I knew my first products had to achieve a specific aim: to make mindfulness meditation fun and accessible for kids of all ages,” she added. “Our first two products introduce mindfulness to kids in a playful way and create space for device-free connection that supports social-emotional learning.”
First, there is a card deck called “Mindful Moments: Guided Exercises and Mantras for Kids.” These cards help you create space for device-free connection and immerse yourself in the present moment with your loved ones. Designed for children ages 2 and up, the handcrafted box features 34 easy-to-follow guided mindfulness activities with custom illustrations; 22 simple yet powerful confidence-boosting mantra cards with positive affirmations; and tips to support the caregiver. Start a new tradition where mindfulness and kindness take a seat at the table for young and old alike. It makes a thoughtful gift for families, teachers and caregivers and is a positive way to kick off the new year.
Then, there is “Good Morning, Good Morning,” a children’s book based on a little mindful song Agnani made up several years ago.
“My son Zavi and I would sing it on the way to school as a way to get us anchored into the present moment and into a positive and empowered headspace,” she said. “The lyrical wordplay encourages children to explore their surroundings and notice the subtle sensations within their bodies, all while helping them develop their daily mindfulness practice. Encourage your little one to savor the moment with this rhyming story that is sure to delight, tickle curiosity, and even bring out some giggles.”
Agnani holds a BA degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and an MBA from USC, where she studied mindfulness. In particular, she seeks out kids from lower income and underserved communities as she believes every child deserves to have access to these developmental tools.
“It’s been incredible to expand these partnerships and support non-profits and schools with digital mindfulness tools and resources, particularly during this challenging time with COVID-19,” she said. “I’m especially proud that our products are written and illustrated by women of color (and the book features diverse characters). As we know, people of color are underrepresented on bookshelves, so creating a diverse kids book was incredibly important to me.”
Parents and educators are aware of the toll the COVID-19 pandemic has taken on the well being of children. Social distancing can provoke fear, anxiety, and stress. “Boundless Blooms” provides kids guidance to self-regulate and build resilience through simple mindfulness practices that can easily be incorporated into daily life.

“Though my company’s still fairly young I’ve noticed how being really thoughtful about how customers engage with my brand and products creates a delightful experience that makes them want to share,” Agnani concluded. “When it comes down to it I’m looking to create and spread goodness in this world. I want to create beautiful, conscious and meaningful products that positively influence the future and I work each day to build my business in a way that uplifts and inspires others.”
