The Palisades Bocce Club’s Autumn 2022 season culminates Sunday at noon with the Senior League and Sunset League finals and awards party at Veterans Gardens. Lunch will be catered by El Dragon.
Wildcard entry Palisades Rookies rose to the top in the Senior League with 19 points, led by Bruce Morr, Jackie Minzner and Cabell Smith, and earned a spot in the Super Playoffs with Lucky Dogs, Patriots, Vinos, Martinis and Friends & Neighbors in Tuesday’s four-frame round-robin format. The top two play for the championship on Sunday.
In the Sunset League, Pompeii was volcanic with 18 points last Tuesday, led by the sizzling hot Bentleigh Borgeson while Pali Pado Paisanos set records with a 10-point, two-frame match and 28 points last Thursday.
Eight teams made the Super Playoffs. Group 1 featured BB Legends, Pali Pado Paisanos, Martinis at Sunset and Chewbacce while Group 2 consisted of Pompei, Bocce Boys & Babes, Ball Busters and We Like to Baci.
