Despite a 2-1 loss to the L.A. Strikers on Saturday, the Pali Blues still have an outside chance of hosting the Western Conference championship game if they win their last three games of the regular season.
The Blues (6-2-1) fell behind 2-0 before finally getting on the board with four minutes to play as Mele French scored Pali’s lone goal.
With the Seattle Sounders’ losing to the Colorado Rapids on Sunday, the Blues remained one point behind their rivals in the standings. Pali will finish its schedule with three home games: tonight against the Bay Area Breeze, July 7 against the Breeze and July 14 against the Santa Clarita Blue Heat, all at 5 p.m.
