After years of drought, a true pride of Pacific Palisades—its hard-won gardens, large and small, with their extraordinary arrays of colors, textures and scents—delighted green fans who joined the Pacific Palisades Garden Club’s fundraising Spring Tour on Sunday, April 23.
Four home-owners, including one in Amalfi, opened their doors to the curious over the hot day.
Palisadians have also been visiting the N/E/X/T/Garden in Temescal Canyon, which has been kept flourishing by organizer Barbara Marinacci and the one-man digging crew Mike Terry as well as volunteers that included students from local schools.
For all gardeners it has been rough, tough and occasionally frustrating past five years, but last weekend privileged to private and public gardens agreed: it paid off in swathes of beauty.
