
Barry Bruce Ward, 52, of Banning, passed away on June 13. ” ”Having grown up in Pacific Palisades, Ward had been a resident of the Banning/Beaumont area for the past four years. He was born February 9, 1953 in Santa Monica and attended Palisades High School. After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1978, he served in the U.S. Air National Guard, attached to the 146th Tactical Airlift Wing at Van Nuys Air Base. ”A respected architect, illustrator, and fine artist he was the owner of Barry Ward Illustrations in Banning. Past clients included the MGM Grand and Circus Circus Hotels, Las Vegas; Glendale Federal Savings; Kaiser Permanente; the Biltmore Fashion Park, Phoenix AZ; and Security Pacific Bank, among others. ”Ward was a loving husband, devoted family man, respected professional and admired friend. He was an accomplished golfer, and over the years had participated in many athletic activities including baseball (as a pitcher), shot-put, archery, surfing, and motorcycling. He was a 33-year member of a group of Palisades High graduates who annually gathered to experience new destinations and challenging outdoor experiences. ”He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janet, and stepson Christian Chapman. He is also survived by brothers Douglas Ward (wife Kim) of Oceanside, and Dennis Ward (wife Jennifer) of Granada Hills.
