A junior striker on Harvard-Westlake High’s girls varsity water polo team, Camille scored four goals, including the game-winner with just over one minute left to lift the Wolverines to a 7-6 victory over Peninsula in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoffs. The Alphabet Streets resident helped Harvard-Westlake capture its ninth consecutive Mission League championship while posting a 19-10 record. Camille scored 15 goals in the team’s final five games, including a five-goal effort against Palos Verdes. She averaged 3.2 assists, two steals and two blocks per game for the season. Camille was named to the All-Mission League first team as a sophomore, serves on Harvard-Westlake’s Sports Advisory Council, frequently volunteers at Homeboy Industries and is evaluating her options to play collegiate water polo. She also plays for the Los Angeles Premier Water Polo Club. To nominate your favorite Palisadian for Athlete of the Week, email sports@palipost.com.
