FRANCESCA VAN NORDEN
A 5-foot-10 sophomore defender and midfielder on the UC Davis women’s soccer team, Francesca played in all 18 games for the Aggies this season, starting 17 of them. She was fourth on the squad in minutes played (1,519) and finished with 15 shots. In 2019, she started 12 of the 13 games she played as a true freshman, recording shots on goal in five of those games. A Cognitive Science major, she was captain and Team MVP her senior year at Palisades High, earning All-Western League and All-City first team honors after tallying 12 goals and 14 assists. She played all 15 games as a freshman on varsity and all 14 games as a sophomore. As a junior she played in 21 of 22 games for the Dolphins, recording 14 goals and four assists and earning All-League and All-City first team accolades.
