COLETTE ROSENBERG
Showing poise under pressure, Colette paired with Jody Duclos to win their match 1 up and spark The Saticoy Club’s tiebreak victory over The Antelope Valley Country Club in the Southern California Golf Association Women’s Team Play Championships at Aviara Country Club in Carlsbad. The teams played six four-ball matches worth two points each and finished in a 6-6 tie. According to SCGA’s rules, ties are broken by comparing the total points earned by the teams’ top two pairings—and Rosenberg and Duclos were Saticoy’s No. 1 tandem. Saticoy beat La Cumbre in the quarterfinals and Sunset Hills in the semifinals June 10. Also a longtime member at Riviera Country Club, where she met her husband Joey, Colette competed in the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Golf Championship in Iowa in 2019 at the age of 58. The mother of three lives off of Bienveneda. Growing up in Aiea, a village near Pearl Harbor on Oahu, she grew to love golf and eventually made the team at the University of Hawaii.
