Amalfi Estates—founded and operated by Palisadian Anthony Marguleas—is expanding its real estate footprint from Monument Street to Dallas, Texas, with a branch that will be operated by Sales Partner Chad Singer.
Founded in 1993, this marks the first expansion for Amalfi Estates.
Why Texas? Marguleas explained to the Palisadian-Post that, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, between July 1, 2021, and July 1, 2022, LA County saw more people leave than any other county across the country, with Texas, Arizona and Florida being the most popular destinations for people to move to.
“With a national presence and expanded philanthropic donations,” Marguleas shared, “the Amalfi team has an opportunity to help thousands of people across the country.”
Though Amalfi is considering having a “meeting area for conferences and team bonding,” there are no plans for a physical office in Dallas.
“COVID has shown that a physical office is not a necessity,” Marguleas explained. “Agents are meeting sellers at their homes or out showing buyers’ properties.”
The goal for the Texas operations, Marguleas said, is to find “quality agents” and grow the office to eight to 10 agents, similar to the Palisades office.
“We don’t want to be like most real estate firms with mostly part-time agents who sell one or two homes a year,” Marguleas continued, “but rather the most experienced agents in a boutique real estate setting partnered with one of the most respected real estate luxury brands in LA.”
Singer, who has taken the Real Estate Negotiation Expert class and was awarded Amalfi’s Blue Diamond award (given to the agent with the most sales) the past two years, will split his time between Dallas and LA, managing “full-service teams in both states.”
He also received “The Amalfi” Award two years in a row, given to the agent “who best embodies Amalfi’s core values and cultural excellence.”
“Mr. Singer has developed an outstanding reputation in real estate, speaking as an industry leader to thousands of agents and setting numerous sales records,” according to a statement. “He recently sold the most expensive cost per foot in the Castellammare area of Pacific Palisades.”
When it comes to transactions, Amalfi Estates commits 10% of its commission to one of six area charity partners, including The People Concern, American Cancer Society, Wags & Walks, Homeboy Industries, Make A Wish and Heal the Bay. To date, according to the Amalfi website, nearly $2 million has been donated.
“Amalfi Estates is committed to building our communities in our backyard and round the world,” the website explained. “After many years of donating hundreds of thousands of dollars, Amalfi Estates launched a strategic philanthropy program in 2016 which focuses on six core areas: homelessness, health, animals, community, children and the environment. By focusing on six issue areas, Amalfi Estates is able to better develop relationships with nonprofits that serve these causes, and therefore create meaningful impact for those in need.”
Marguleas said Amalfi will find area nonprofits in Texas to give back to the local community.
Amalfi Estates has partnered with Side brokerage, who Marguleas shared is “one of the top 10 national brokerages by sales volume,” with $42 billion in annual production across 600 partners brands, for a total of 4,000 agents in 16 states.
When it comes to the future of Amalfi Estates, Marguleas said he is looking into expanding to Lake Tahoe as well.
“We want to go where there is a need, and we want to grow smart,” he continued. “It is about quality agents and locations rather than quantity. We are taking the successful model we created in the Palisades to Dallas and Tahoe.”
