Signups are open for a five-day “inspiring and educational” summer photography camp beginning July 17, hosted by Palisades Charter High School photo teacher Rick Steil.
“Join us in a creative environment, which will teach you to create stunning images using your camera or phone,” according to a press release about the camp.
The camp is open to ages 12 to 90 years old. Those who attend will learn digital photography basics, including composition, shutter speed/aperture/ISO, Photoshop, inkjet printing and iPhone.
Morning and afternoon sessions are available, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., and can be mixed. Cameras and computers will be provided to those who need them.
“Monday, Wednesday and Friday will be in my classroom and around Pali High,” Steil explained. “Tuesday will be in Temescal Canyon and Thursday at Will Rogers State [Historic] Park.”
Limited space is available for the camp, which cost $400 for the week. For more information, call 310-428-1160 or email rsteil@palihigh.org.
