SB9
A great explanation of SB9 by Anthony Marguleas. Here’s hoping all Palisades homeowners give their support to this new law by adding rental units to their single family dwellings, helping our town to grow from a small village to the great metropolis it should be. If our wonderfully progressive California State Legislature says it will alleviate the housing shortage (and maybe the homeless crisis?) then it must be so.
Mourning
Sending my heartfelt condolences to the Kupfer family here in the Palisades. May Brianna rest in peace, gone far too soon.
Closures
So sad to see all these staple Palisades stores, like the Sew Chateau closing. Community building and affordable mom and pop stores are the heart of our community. I hope they all don’t become devoured by Pac-Man like corporate businesses.
DRB
Astounding how the Department of City Planning can just override the Pacific Palisades Design Review Board. Is it just me, or does it seem like the voices of the people who have lived here for over a decade are being overridden by deals made by those who value the dollar over the investment in preserving our great community?
Centennial
How wonderful to celebrate 100 years of what’s become a tight-knit community! While we continue to expand, let us always keep the values of a small community. Like family, supporting our local businesses and keeping a giving heart and a smile available for passersby anytime we walk our streets.
Centennial II
Just wanted to say my family and I were clanking our pans and pots Friday afternoon and it was the most genuine fun we had had in a while. Happy 100th birthday, Pacific Palisades!
