Masks
To criticize others as lemmings, who carry or wear masks, following the recommendations of doctors and scientists, is at best hypocritical, when some apparently follow the head lemming, who says it is ok not to wear a mask. In the face of 104,000 Americans who have already died, the letter writers sarcasm about not hugging or kissing neighbors is not clever or funny. Most of us take this seriously. We are all asked one simple thing. When outside carry or wear a mask. If you pass someone and can’t distance, pull it up, so fellow Palisadians, many over 65 with preexisting condition, do not have to walk in the street. No one wants to wear a mask, but during these stressful times we only ask everyone to be civil, decent, kind and respectful of others and realize we are in this together.
Palisades Drive
Thank you to the wonderful guy who cleared all the weeds, rocks, dirt and debris from the Palisades Drive canyon access path. As a frequent walker it is greatly appreciated and it keeps us from having to go into the street to avoid obstacles. Thank you again.
National Guard
The level of privilege for the National Guard to be outside of the Caruso Village guarding it, is outlandish! With all that’s going on in our world right now, and of businesses and people that REALLY need help, is it necessary for Caruso to have the Village guarded 24/7? The privilege level is at an all-time high.
National Guard II
It was very comforting to see the National Guard soldiers and their vehicle, plus the LAPD cruiser at our Village. In these times of crisis, it was nice to have this reassurance.
Demonstration
I was so happy to see the turnout for the demonstration this past Sunday, and to know that it was completely peaceful made my whole week! Go Palisades!!
Demonstration II
I hope everybody who participated in this weekend’s demonstration gets tested for COVID and takes care of themselves—you never know the risk!
