Two karate students at Gerry Blanck’s Martial Arts Center medaled last Saturday at the Compete Martial Arts Tournament in Ontario.
Eleven-year-old Brown belt Grace Ryan, a sixth-grader at Archer School for Girls, took third place in weapons and sixth in forms in her very first competition.
Green belt Michelle Villemaire won two gold medals, one in adult forms and one in weapons.
