The unique Caruso-Palisadian-Post student art competition closes next Monday, May 15—so get out your crayons, brushes and pencils this weekend.
Students grades K-5 are invited to submit their artworks depicting favorite activities and moments around town in a competition called “Why I Love Pacific Palisades.”
It’s up to you what you put down on an 8.5”x11” sheet of white paper—just don’t forget to sign it and hand it over to your school administrator after the weekend.
Schools who are taking part in the competition include Calvary Christian, Corpus Christi, Marquez Charter Elementary, Palisades Charter Elementary, St. Matthew’s Parish School, Seven Arrows Elementary and Village schools.
Ten winning entries will be displayed on Rick Caruso’s Palisades Village safety wall and printed in the Post so your friends and family can enjoy them.
Each winner will receive a $50 gift card to blow on treats at Sweet Rose Creamery, The Yogurt Shoppe, Toppings Yogurt Bar or Palisades Garden Café.
One grand prize winner will be selected on May 25 and announced in the Post on June 8.
This artist will receive a $1,000 donation to their school’s arts program and an additional $50 gift card to spend at one of the four eateries.
