Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, are selling side-by-side estates in the Riviera area separately for $9.25 and $8.75 million—or combined for $18 million.
One of the homes, a Spanish Revival-style villa and the less expensive of the two, has been previously reported to be owned by actor Matt LeBlanc. But sources reported to the LA Times that the properties are owned by blind trusts controlled by Hanks and Wilson. The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home features a step-down living room, paneled dining room, and library/den.
The more expensive of the homes is a seven-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bath English Traditional that was built in 1957. The home is designed for entertaining, featuring a formal living and dining room, a screening room and a billiard room with fireplace and wetbar.
The properties were acquired in off-market transactions in 2003 and 2007 by Hanks and Wilson. They also own a third property on the street that is not for sale.
The listings are held by Mary Lu Tuthill of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.
