The giant screen will be getting even more giant on July 1 with the release of Walt Disney Pictures’ “The BFG.” Based on a novel by Roald Dahl, the British author of “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” the story follows the adventures of Sophie and the Big Friendly Giant as they form a friendship and battle the obstacles to maintain living in harmony. Palisadian Steven Spielberg took the film’s director’s chair, and fellow Palisadian Bill Hader fills the role of villainous giant “Bloodbottler.”
