
A team from Palisades Charter High School placed second in the Hands-On competition at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s annual Science Bowl Regional Competition on Saturday, Feb. 20. “Team B” was made up of (l to r) Elizabeth Crawford, Hannah Shabtian, Ramtin Rastegar, Daniel Gottesman and Alok Elashoff. Each student received a $200 Office Depot gift card.
Nationally, about 12,000 students participate in one of the 69 regional competitions, including 10 in California, said Walter S. Zeisl, Manager of Education Outreach, Programming and Graphic Services Communications Division with LADWP.
