Palisades Symphony Orchestra is holding its 46th Annual Young Artists Awards Competition on March 22 and invites talented, young, local instrumentalists in grades 1-12 to audition for an award and the chance to play with Palisades Symphony in concert on June 12.
Auditions are open to students residing or attending school in Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Malibu, Topanga or Brentwood. Deadline for application to be received is March 16. For more information, call 310-454-8040.
The Westside Committee of the Los Angeles Philharmonic is holding scholarship auditions for students in grades 6-12 who have a minimum of three years of study on their instrument, can perform a piece of classical music (3-5 minute duration) and have a written recommendation from their teacher.
Students must reside or go to school in Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Brentwood, Malibu or Topanga or their current teacher must reside in one of these locations.
