Robin White, 32, was in the kitchen casually cooking a meal and sipping a cold beer in a home on the 300 block of Via Nicholas on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 23. She changed into fresh clothing and turned on the stovetop, patiently waiting for the water to boil.
The only problem was White wasn’t in her own kitchen, she was in the home of a Pacific Palisades resident who was waiting outside for Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers to arrive and remove the uninvited intruder from her house.

LAPD arrested White for residential burglary at 4 p.m. that day and she is the lead suspect in a break-in that occurred earlier that morning just a few blocks away in the same Paseo Miramar neighborhood. White is being held on $50,000 bail and has been arrested in the past.
According to LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore, the Via Nicholas resident walked into her kitchen and noticed that her back window was wide open and her stovetop was on. Food and clothing were spread out all over the countertops and floor.
Realizing there might be an intruder in her house, the homeowner quickly shut the window, turned off the stove and went outside to call 9-1-1.
While waiting for officers to arrive, the homeowner saw the female intruder cooking and drinking beer in her kitchen, as if it was her home.

Moore told the Palisadian-Post he recognized White from a Palisades “Tent City” patrol he performed on the morning of May 27, 2015 when a Post reporter joined him for a ride-along. On that day, Moore said he noticed White had bolt cutters, which concerned him.
“I told my guys to keep an eye out because I assumed she was going to use the bolt cutters to steal bikes or get into car ports, but apparently she’s moved up,” Moore told the Post.
According to Moore, when LAPD arrived at the home they arrested the suspect without resistance and she was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.
“The suspect (White) changed into new clothing that didn’t belong to her and we believe she was preparing to take other items from the home before we arrested her,” Moore said. “No windows or doors were broken during the home invasions and everything stolen was recovered.”
According to a source, White said it was her right to enter the home and take whatever she wanted.
“[White] believed it was her right to use these people’s homes because she said these homes are on Native American land and she claims to be Native American,” the source stated to the Post. “There are obviously people out there with intense mental illness issues so residents should be more careful about leaving things unlocked.”
LAPD reminds Palisadians to lock all windows and doors before leaving home and to double check that their cars are locked at all times.
