The goal for the Palisades High football team tomorrow night is simple: retain the Charter Bowl trophy.
The Dolphins will host Granada Hills at Stadium by the Sea (JV kickoff at 4 p.m., varsity at 7 p.m.) in the ninth annual Charter Bowl. The Highlanders won three of the first four meetings and Palisades has won three of the last four, meaning whichever team wins tomorrow takes the lead in the series.

Granada Hills is 1-3 and lost to Canoga Park 41-21 in Week 2, but Pali High Coach Tim Hyde isn’t taking the Highlanders lightly.
“The cool thing about this week is that it’s a trophy game,” Hyde said. “These games are fun to play in and it’s a cool thing that we’ve created with Granada. Their quarterback is a really good athlete and they’ve got a really good tight end and a really good receiver. Defensively, they’ll come after you. They’re a program with tradition.”
The winner of the annual game gets to keep the bronze trophy on campus until the next season.
