After finishing atop the Ocean Division, Palisades High’s varsity team advanced to the second round of the Interscholastic Beach Volleyball League playoffs last week at Dockweiler State Beach.
In Wednesday’s first round the Dolphins got past Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 2-1. Jennifer Krems and Domineque Jeffords lost 21-15, 21-15 at No. 1, Isabel Kelly and Sadie Gray prevailed 21-13, 17-21, 15-11 at No. 2 and Emily Pappas and Sarah Hurst won 21-17, 21-13 at No. 3.
On Thursday against Mater Dei, Lucky Drageset and Taylor Pecsok lost 21-11, 21-10 at No. 1, Kelly and Gray lost 21-12, 21-14 at No. 2 and Pappas and Hurst rallied for a 9-21, 21-15, 16-14 victory at No. 3.
