It was quite a weekend for the Westside Aquatics Water Polo Club’s 16U boys team, which went 5-0 to capture the A Division championship at the Winterfest Tournament in Huntington Beach, beating Amador Valley Water Polo Club in the final.
Coached by Adam Blakis, Bart Gawboy and Kirk Lazaruk, the squad consisted of several Palisades High students: sophomores Mitchell Kim, Kian Lofti and Zach Senator and freshmen Jacob Lazaruk, Matt Affeld, Quinn Godfreden, Brandon Epp and Lucas Silva.
