Julie Sterling will hold another six-week dog and puppy training class starting 9 a.m. this Saturday, September 21, at Palisades Lutheran Church, 15905 Sunset Blvd. The cost is $300 per dog, but the same six-week course is repeatable with the same dog at no additional charge.
The first class meets without dogs inside one of the buildings. “There will be an untrained demo puppy at the first class, and yours may qualify,” Sterling said. “Thereafter, the class will begin at 8:30 a.m. with all enrolled puppies/dogs for a half-hour of off-leash, supervised free play/socialization in the fenced outdoor courtyard.”
The class is limited to 10 dogs, and there will be three trainers, so everyone will get individual help. Any missed classes may be made up during the next round at no charge.
“This class is based on methods that employ positive reinforcement, clicker training, and is appropriate for any age dog,” said Sterling, a veteran animal trainer and lifelong resident of Pacific Palisades.
