Two days after KTLA ran a story about a cheerleader’s claim that her coach forced her to fistfight another student to resolve their differences, Palisades High School’s Executive Director and Principal Pam Magee released the following statement to the Palisadian-Post: “Palisades Charter High School (PCHS) is a safe place, and safety is a paramount concern at all times. To this end, we maintain comprehensive staff and student policies to prevent acts of violence, bullying, harassment or disruptions of our learning environment. Such acts are not tolerated. Due to confidentiality laws, we cannot discuss individual staff or student information or cases, but we can assure our stakeholders that violations of these critical policies are met with an immediate response to ensure and protect our highly distinguished and successful school and its outstanding staff and student body.” According to the KTLA report Tuesday night, Cimone Holloway received scratches and a black eye in the alleged fight over a “boy.” Holloway, who has since transferred to another school, told KTLA she had to sit in the sidelines the last time she was supposed to cheerlead. She said she couldn’t participate due to her injuries. Post sources said that ‘the coach hasn’t worked at Pali since this incident occurred in January.’ Holloway’s mother, Tonya Humes, told KTLA she has hired attorneys in order to seek “justice” from the school.
