LA Clippers forward Blake Griffin is expected to make his return to the lineup Saunday against the Washington Wizards at Staples Center.
Griffin was ruled medically cleared to play last Sunday when he served the first of a team-imposed four-game suspension for punching Clippers assistant equipment manager Matias Testi during a road trip in January.

Griffin fractured a bone in his right hand during the incident, sidelining him an additional six weeks after he’d already missed a month because of a quadriceps injury suffered during the Clippers’ Christmas Day victory over the rival LA Lakers.
The Clippers are hopeful Sunday’s game will be the first of seven regular season games in which the Riviera resident gets to play before the start of the NBA playoffs.
Griffin has averaged 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 30 games this season.
