Actor-comedian Kevin Nealon has been named the 29th Honorary Mayor of Pacific Palisades, the Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce announced today.
“Mayor Kevin” is one of the longest full-time cast members of “Saturday Night Live” where he was the anchor of Weekend Update. He and his buddy Dana Carvey also created the “Pumping Up with Hans and Franz” sketch featuring a pair of super-buff Austrian bodybuilders.
Mayor Kevin has starred in over two dozen films, including several with fellow Palisadian Adam Sandler. He was recently featured in the hit Showtime comedy “Weeds.”
He currently performs stand-up comedy and has a web series on AOL called “Laugh Lessons with Kevin Nealon.”
He is also the author of “Yes, You’re Pregnant But What About Me?”
Outside of performing, he is a passionate animal rights activist and a vegetarian.
An avid golfer, Mayor Kevin also plays the banjo.
Mayor Kevin and his wife Susan have one son.
