Walkers
In response to last week’s two cents column: I have also noticed more and more people walking in the middle of the street. It’s an epidemic and I am outraged! Who are these maniacs living among us?
Dirty Threat
If you do not start picking up after your dog, I will pick it up and throw it at you.
Trucked Off
I’m really fed up with the never-ending massive construction on Castellammare Drive. Every morning there is truck after truck after truck, heading up and down the narrow street, forcing cars to stop and wait for them to pass. Please let it be over soon.
Bugged
I saw that stalled-out yellow Bug in the Village that you wrote about on Facebook last week. Why did it take so long to get it moved out of the way? And why did the driver vanish, leaving all the kids from the Garden Café urging each other to get inside it and take selfies, adding to the safety hazard? Does not take much to make this town go crazy.
Vintage
The Alphabet Streets Old Guard failed to kill off Vintage Grocers with a Hail Mary complaint about their opening hours at city hall, saying they broke all kinds of agreements. Not with me and my friends, they didn’t—we are finally getting what we want: a strong lively Village scene, for us and our kids, so we don’t have to go to Malibu or Santa Monica. And if they don’t like it, they should sell up and move out. Find their imaginary kingdom where time stands still elsewhere.
