Just Be Kind
For the owners who live up the hills: Please pick up your housekeeper or nanny at the bus stops in this heat, don’t let them walk miles up hill to your home. If you are too busy, there is Uber. I have given rides many times to the housekeepers, but especially this morning, at 8:30 a.m., it was 90 degrees, I offered a ride to a housekeeper who works in the upper Marquez neighborhood. Thank you.
Impatient
A black BMW sedan was swerving down Bollinger on 8/31. The teenage driver had one hand on the wheel and the other texting and was not paying attention. Please wait. Our friend’s child just got hit by someone doing the same thing.
Disappointed
Disappointed that Caruso has signed up two very expensive additional businesses—another very expensive Italian and Sweet Laurel’s has cakes at $76 and will not be utilized by most of the Palisades.
Careless
Please investigate the idiocy/entitlement of people in the Palisades who walk down the middle of the street instead of the sidewalk? I’m serious—it’s an epidemic. This is our Houston.
It’s a Red Light
When is a red light not a red light? Someone asked that about the top of Palisades Drive, but it could also apply to a dozen other streets around here. Bring on the robot cars—they cannot be more dangerous than our typical “mom in a hurry.”
CVS
Why do they keep moving stuff around? Have they not settled down in their new layout? I cannot keep up with them. But they are still a cheaper, better store than most around here.
