As a public service to the community, Pacific Palisades Community Council is pleased to announce a partnership with our counterpart in Brentwood, Brentwood Community Council, to co-host a special educational workshop focused on how to navigate the new revised Zoning Code, soon to be in operation in Los Angeles.
The new code is the culmination of the five-plus-year long re:codeLA process to revise the old, massive and confusing Zoning Code—the first comprehensive revision of the code since its adoption in 1946.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, March 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Palisades Charter High School in Gilbert Hall. The event is free and open to all.
Our expert speakers will be Sharon Commins (co-chair of the Zoning Advisory Committee for re:codeLA; co-chair, Westside Regional Alliance of Councils Land Use & Planning Committee; past chair, Mar Vista Community Council); and Tom Rothmann (Principal City Planner, Code Studies, Los Angeles Department of City Planning; manager, re:codeLA project).
All property owners, developers, builders, HOA members—and anyone with an interest in how property can be developed or how the new code will impact our neighborhoods—will want to attend!
