Protests
Thank you to the Post for featuring the peaceful protests in our community on the front page! It’s crucial in our current times to band together and fight for equality.
Mask Response
MASKS from June 11th 2cents: “When outside carry or wear a mask. If you pass someone and can’t distance pull it up, so fellow Palisadians, many over 65 with preexisting conditions, do not have to walk in the street.” Bravo! Finally someone who offers a solution to this polarized issue. This should satisfy everyone. Reminder that handicapped individuals have an exemption. There are those who suffer from lung disease and recycled carbon dioxide toxicity. This type of solution offered might even help in solving other polarizing issues.
Bells
One of the silver linings of being home for nearly 4 months is listening in our backyard to the beautiful bell-ringing from St. Matthew’s late every afternoon.
Outdoors
Being stuck inside for weeks on end, it starts to feel like Groundhog day. We are all craving the fresh air and wide-open spaces and they are right outside your front door! The outdoors is still open! Physical activity as an integral part of staying healthy in mind, body and spirit. We all know how important movement is at the BEST of times, but in this era of COVID-19, it is even more crucial for our physical as well as our mental health… get outdoors!
Summer
Summer reminds me the Palisades is a great town both for people living in the area and people who come to visit. With the hiking trails to the mall with great food. The Palisades has a great vibe and awesome appearance!
Fireworks
Anybody else tired of all the fireworks going off at night? My dog is going crazy, please stop!!!
