Fire Response
Traci Park was at the scene Sunday night during the fire that raged below Corona Del Mar. Where was Erin Darling?
Caruso
Have to agree, the Caruso Village virtually eliminated the classic character of what Swarthmore had become. Who doesn’t miss the quaint charm of the run-down buildings, vacant stores, empty restaurants, dirty storefronts, and debris in the street? Worst of all, the tragic loss of the historic asphalt parking lot replaced with a green open space now being used by a lot of young families. Surely it would have been a great investment for someone to have kept it the way it was?
Cornhole
Would anyone like to start a cornhole league? We could have tacos.
Temescal
Are there any updates on the town’s efforts to stop illegal dumping at Temescal Canyon? Criminals continue to dump huge piles of wood on the side of the road.
(Editor’s note: Community members are encouraged to use the MyLA311 website or call 311 within the city of LA to report instances of illegal dumping. The items are cleared from time to time, including three or four occasions over the last five months, according to District Director & LAX Community Liaison for Councilmemeber Mike Bonin Noah Fleishman.)
Creep Your Crypt
Perhaps the Post should add a category to Creep Your Crypt: Most Ecological! OR perhaps the Post could ask participants not to use fake spider webs because the fake webs kill and injure birds and decimate insects and real spiders.
