See’s
I’m sad See’s is closing. It is a store that sold small items. I wonder if bringing back the free hour of parking would help shops that need to sell a high volume of small items like coffee, makeup and ice cream?
Parking
I am outraged. I went to CVS today, parked in the lot and went inside to shop. After shopping, I put my items in my car, grabbed a letter and walked to the Post Office to pop it in the mailbox. When I got back, I had a $46.50 ticket on my car!!!!!! What is going on????? I am disputing the ticket, and have advised CVS, but I am really mad. I never park at CVS unless I am shopping there.
Potrero
Thank you Rep. Ted Lieu for securing funding for the trail connecting George Wolfberg Park to Temescal Canyon Road! This will provide a safe route across the PCH at Temescal until the bridge is completed.
Parade
Sad to see no acknowledgment of Highland Park 4th of July Parade families/victims/massacre within the Pacific Palisades Parade story.
Bay Theater
It would be so nice if the Bay Theater played some children’s movies this summer. Maybe do a discounted rate for families during the weekday afternoons?
Brush Requirements
Is the fire department actively enforcing the brush requirements? There are some very overgrown lots on Sunset near the Marquez Knolls that are a big fire risk.
TPY
Leave it to Theatre Palisades Youth for always choosing such great shows to put on! Newsies is such a great production for young kids. I can’t wait to see what show they will choose next.
Masks
I’m sad that masking might be reinstated. Not for the reason that I don’t want to wear a mask, but because I thought we were far past COVID and it’s a stark reminder that people are still being severely affected. I hope they can make it out well and that we can make it through this time period.
Fire Safety
With this weather, we should all be vigilant about fire safety. Don’t get carried away with good times and don’t ignore the possible dangers of a fire.
