Library
Last week you reported that Friends of the Library is seeking a suggestion for Palisades Reads 2021, the third annual communitywide book club, and that last year’s book was “In the Not Quite Dark.” Given that our beloved library remains shuttered with no plan whatsoever for reopening and our public officials care not one whit, Friends of the Library should choose “In the Dark” for this year’s read.
Parking Lots
The public should have a chance to express their opinion regarding the best use of the beach parking lots. Tabulation could be made of the drivers when they enter the parking lot, whether they would be willing to give up their parking at the beach for homeless encampments. If a majority objects, then the City should consider placing their free homeless structures at the Salton Sea Slab City Community and provide free bussing to the site.
Potrero
I was happy to read landscaping is beginning at Potrero Canyon Park. I am looking forward to enjoying the space when it opens!
Bocce
I am excited that the Palisades is about to have its very own Bocce league. Playing has been a longtime tradition within my family, so I’m looking forward to playing in a more official capacity.
Neighbors
In the wake of tragic moments, it’s heartwarming to see our community stick together. Through the fires, losses, struggles, even COVID-19, there has always been unity. For that I am grateful to all my neighbors.
LAFD
I can never thank our fire department enough for all their hard work and perseverance. If you happen to see a firefighter or walk by the station, wave a hand or extend your thanks! They are awesome.
Gracias Señor
Gracias Señor always kills it! If you haven’t tried their food, it’s a must! I personally love their carne asada fries, such a treat to grab and take down to the beach.
