Read with interest yesterday’s article on Proposed Business Block Changes … We are nothing if not a community of nostalgics. But.. Gensler is a highly respected architectural firm. They get tradition, but they also understand current taste. Why not consider their recommendations.. they are paid for are they not? What good is Palisadian authenticity when no business wants to locate there?
On Sunday morning I was at a local grocery store and was told by the staff checking me out that a white woman in her mid-fifties had just told the checker at the next stand to “go back to where you came from”. I am so sickened that people in our community are treating the hard working staff in this revolting manner. I wonder if this woman knows that the store lost a long-time beloved produce department member to Covid this year!
Congrats to the Creep Your Crypt winners. Thank you to everyone who decorated this year, it made walking around the neighborhood a bit more fun.
Just a reminder to the community to drive safely down PCH, the weather lately has presented some safety hazards and concerns. When in doubt, just slow down. Better to be safe than sorry.
Despite differences of political opinions it was nice to feel the community and the country’s sense of unity the other day. It was a beautiful day, a breath of fresh air, and seeing the joy of others really was a sliver of light in these dark times.
Everybody please be extra careful and safe during these cold months, let’s keep working towards reducing the spread. I know there might still be a long way to go but it’s still our duty to be cautious
