William Michael Hartman III “Mike” sadly passed away on Thursday, April 14, just 13 days after his 79th birthday. He was battling sarcoma in a treatment facility in Woodland Hills.
Michael was born on April 1, 1943, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of Bill and Marge Hartman, and was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University with a master’s in economics. He spent three years in Turkey with the Peace Corps before obtaining a law degree from the University of Southern California.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Jodi. He is survived by his brother, Chris; his former wife, Lorraine; his three daughters, Laura, Joanna (Chase) Parker, and Celeste (Finn) Sekigahama; his grandson, Phoenix and granddaughter, Elliot.
Michael loved playing poker and golf with friends, watching sports (especially golf and college basketball), and cheering for the Cubs at Dodger Stadium.
