On Friday May 23, Viewpoint School announced that its Headmaster of 28 years, Dr. Robert J. Dworkoski, will focus his efforts on his role as President of the Viewpoint Educational Foundation. In this position, he will devote his time to important strategic initiatives, which include continuing to raise the School’s profile locally, regionally, and nationally; leading the School’s capital campaign to build state-of-the-art Primary and Lower School facilities; and enlarging the School’s endowment.
“One of Bob’s strongest assets has been his ability to prepare for Viewpoint’s future. He is a true visionary,” expressed Chair of the Board of Trustees, Joe Carieri. “He recently approached the Board with a strategy for the coming years. As we complete our Master Plan, Bob wisely advised that we must ready ourselves to carry the School’s educational vision forward for the 21st century. We agreed.”
“We are blessed at Viewpoint School to have had Bob Dworkoski’s outstanding leadership, and privileged that he wishes to continue to serve our community as its chief ambassador, strategist, and fundraiser for the School’s future,” added John Nadolenco, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. “By stepping away from his role as Headmaster with responsibilities for the School’s daily operations, Bob may devote his complete energies and focused determination to accomplishing our aspirations. This change will allow us to leverage the strengths of our best asset.”
“We have a team of experienced administrators, an outstanding faculty, strong programs, and a tradition of excellence. I am confident that under this new leadership model, Viewpoint will retain its excellence and will grow only stronger,” Dr. Dworkoski commented.
According to Mr. Carieri, Viewpoint has begun a national search for a Head of School with the expectation that this individual will begin in July 2015. Dr. Dworkoski’s role will change effective July 1, 2014, when he will immediately begin devoting his efforts entirely to his role as President of the Viewpoint Educational Foundation.
For the 2014-15 academic year, Paul Rosenbaum, currently the Associate Headmaster: Director of Education, will assume the role of Interim Headmaster, and Greg Armbrister will serve as Associate Headmaster, while continuing his leadership of the Middle School.
“Viewpoint has achieved numerous accomplishments in recent years, but I have no doubt that our best days still lie ahead,” Dworkoski said.
