Road Work
Is it just me or have the tree roots under the road on Haverford by Theatre Palisades and the Woman’s Club gotten much worse these days?
99 Cents
The owners of the Norris Hardware Building should consider leasing to a 99 cent store. With all of the high-end stores coming to the Palisades, a 99 cent store should do well. Since they would be adjacent to Ralphs, there would be plenty of parking available.
Tesla Troubles
I’ve decided Tesla drivers are the worst on the road. It used to be Priuses but now it is Tesla. By far.
Inquiring Minds
Why are there urinals in a single stall coed bathroom? As a woman, I find them kind of icky to look at. Can’t the men just “Ready, Aim, Fire” into a toilet? They do it at home—why can’t they do it in a public bathroom? I also want to know, why can’t they put the toilet seat down? When we women go into a public coed bathroom and find the seat up, we have to first look for a paper of some sort to lower the seat with so we don’t have to touch it. Then we have to put the seat cover on the seat. It’s really a lot of work and would be so much easier if men just put the seat down. How ‘bout it guys? Inquiring minds want to know.
Bitter Chocolate
Enough with the arguing over See’s Candy in the new Caruso development! It’s a beloved American brand. This town would be the laughing stock of most of the country if they listened to the first world problems people are up in arms about here. In fact many of you are the laughing stock of your own town. Get over yourselves.
Sweet Chocolate
Finally, a tenant I might go to more than once.
Old Glory
The other day at Palisades Park I was disappointed to look at the flagpole and see that Old Glory was hard to make out—the colors had faded in our incredible Palisades sunlight. I hope the park can rectify this sad situation by either substituting a new Stars and Stripes, or—given the importance of appearance in our community—simply raising a different flag that won’t fade as much.
Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to the good Samaritan who returned an envelope of cash and checks lost on Sunset Blvd to our elementary school. You renew my faith in mankind.
