Free Car Storage
Would you like free local storage for your old vehicle, trailer or motor home? Park them on El Oro Lane in the Marquez Knolls. Several such vehicles have been parked there for the past three years, and it is apparently sanctioned by Los Angeles Parking Enforcement. When one complains, and if the city makes an effort to issue a warning, you only need to move the vehicle a few feet to avoid a ticket. Therefore, bring your large unwieldy vehicles to El Oro Lane for free long-term storage!
One Habit at a Time
To the guys who attend morning recovery meetings in The Village and stand outside smoking in a pack: It’s great you’re confronting your addiction. That said, many of us walk our children to school past your clouds of cigarette smoke in the morning. Please take a personal inventory and think about the people you are harming with your other addiction.
Comic Cut
As city councilmember, Mike Bonin should spend less time with the comics, as reported in the May 10 Palisadian-Post, and more time serving his constituents. His recent endorsement of the monstrous and inappropriate Highlands eldercare facility not only ignored numerous violations of the Los Angeles Municipal Code, the California Coastal Act and the California Environmental Quality Act, but also the strong opposition of more than 1,000 Highlands residents in petitions, emails and letters. His endorsement carries much weight with the city’s decision makers and clearly influenced their approvals. I can’t wait to vote for whoever opposes him in the next election.
Going Postal, Nicely
Did something happen at the post office? The same people who would ignore me when I walked in are now jumping out of their seats and asking if I need help. At the end of each transaction, they’re asking customers if they could fill out a short survey.
Also, Nicely
I was at the Pacific Palisades Farmers Market this Sunday on Mother’s Day and Caruso was offering a flower crown craft table for all moms! It was the sweetest thing and I had such a nice talk with their executive who was there answering questions. Such a nice touch! Thank you, sorry it’s late!
