Anger
I was there at the Land Use Committee, when the council representatives were being yelled at by people from The Highlands upset over the eldercare center. It was uglier than your reporter suggested. The Post should write that, for instance, Reza Akef only spoke out in response to a crowd of neighbors that heckled the entire LUC, shouting such things as, “You all must be on the take!” That offensive statement specifically prompted Reza’s comments. It should never have gotten so out of control and personal.
Gun Fear
Kudos to “Gun Fear” writer for properly characterizing the Pali school walkout as a “truancy walkout” and the complicity of the school’s teachers and administration. Watch for the cries of protest for your non-“PC” comment.
Negativity
I would like to submit another message for the Two Cents section. What is going on with the recent negativity toward the Village project?? Why is no one acknowledging that we are getting a huge upgrade to our quality of life, shopping and dining, and we should be saying thank you for such an amazing gift to the community instead of picking it apart!!
Unleashed
Watch out if you ask the owner of the dog wandering Embury Street to leash her dog; she may pull her pants down, the way she did at us! What a neighbor.
Teenage
That Two Cents complaint that claimed it was from a disabled (?) older guy being terrorized by teens. Sounded to me like it was written by idiot teens. Busted!
Gloria
I am surprised that you blessed Gloria Allred with such a glowing portrait of her life and career. To the vast majority of Americans, she has been viewed as a bit of a national joke and a bottom-feeding litigator. As Chuck Todd said on “Meet the Press,” “Gloria Allred has got a reputation for basically: ‘Oh, there’s cameras over there? Let me see if I can find a client and go do that.’”
