The popular Palisadian yogurt shop Toppings suffered a weekend break-in, when intruders—either one or two males, according to police—smashed the store’s glass door and entered the property. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 2, at around 2 a.m.
The suspects took an estimated $1,200 from the store’s register and a safe in the kitchen.
The shop, located on the 800 block of Via De La Paz, closed for two days, but re-opened on Tuesday, April 4. Owner Jordin Mendelsohn told the Palisadian-Post that patrons shouldn’t be deterred by his store’s temporary front door—he’s open for business and happy to serve them. Mendelsohn thanked Palisadians for their support while he deals with the aftermath.
The Palisades shop is Toppings’ second location, with the original yogurt bar—beloved for its vast array of, you guessed it: toppings—operating in Beverly Hills.
