Readying for another City title run, the Palisades High girls tennis team got a chance to test itself against an opponent outside its own section—Beverly Hills.
In the end, however, the Normans proved to be no match for the Dolphins, who won 7-0 at the Palisades Recreation Center.
Ireland Amato set the tone at No. 1 singles, winning her pro set, 8-3. Playing No. 2 was freshman Noe Winter, who pulled out an 8-6 victory, and sophomore Sophia Arvin won 8-4 at No. 3. Another freshman, Halsey Hulse, won 8-3 at No. 4 singles.
Palisades also swept the three doubles pro sets. Alex Miller and Caroline Ross won 8-2 at the No. 1 spot, Gigi Feingold and Sophia Amato won 8-0 at No. 2 and Taylor Barfield paired with Maddy Goore to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
