The Inaugural Chamber of Commerce Event Takes Place Across Town September 22 to 26
By SARAH SHMERLING | Editor-in-Chief
The Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for the inaugural Taste of the Palisades—highlighting 17 spots across town, from Santa Monica Canyon to the Village and The Highlands.
“It’s another way to get the new village and the old village together,” Chamber President Bob Benton explained to the Palisadian-Post.
Each participating location will either offer a special promotion or, similar to a hyper-local DineL.A., a prix fixe menu.
Taste of the Palisades, which will run September 22 through 26, will include several classic Palisadian favorites, like Gladstones, Cafe Vida, Kayndaves and Modo Mio.
Those looking to explore Palisades Village can do so at Porta Via, McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams, Hank’s, Bay Theatre by Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and The Draycott.
“I’m looking forward to meeting new Palisadians who have yet to try The Draycott—and seeing friends who are looking for an excuse to come back,” The Draycott owner Marissa Hermer shared. “I’m also booking into our neighboring restaurants to sample their Taste of the Palisades menus—it’s a great reason to dine out.”
Benton also shared that it will encourage diners to visit spots outside of the middle of town, including Taste, Casa Nostra, K Bakery Eatery + Bakeshop and Patrick’s Roadhouse.
On the lighter side, Juicy Ladies, Estate Coffee and Juice Crafters will all be participating.
Those who have not yet had a chance to try the recently opened CinqueTerre WEST Osteria, headed by Palisadians Marlo and Gianbattista Vinzoni, can do so during breakfast or lunch.
“We hope to meet new customers and see our loyal regulars,” Marlo shared. “I think it will be a success and a perfect way to introduce our new baby, CinqueTerre WEST Osteria, to the Palisades.”
“I hope our town of Pacific Palisades will come out and see our restaurants, some that maybe they haven’t seen before,” Benton said.
Ahead of the inaugural event, Benton shared that he hopes this year goes well so the Chamber can “do it even bigger and better next year.”
